Ryan Wilson

Ryan WilsonCoach Wilson is in his third year with Montgomery County. He will lead the freshman boy's basketball team again this season, as well as assist with coaching the junior varsity and varsity teams this season. Prior to Montgomery County, Coach Wilson was the Freshman Head Coach as well as a JV and Varsity Assistant at Lloyd Memorial High School in Erlanger, KY, a small independent school in Northern KY.

Not only does Coach Wilson bring several years of coaching experience with him, he also brings a considerable amount of playing experience as well. Coach Wilson was a member of the 1996-2000 Lloyd Memorial Basketball team that won a District Championship and was a two-time participant in the 9th Region Tournament. During Coach Wilson's senior year he received 9th Region Player of the Year Runner-Up and was a 3-Time 1st Team 9th Region Coaches Association Recipient and All-State Honorable Mention.

After high school, Coach Wilson attended Ohio Dominican University where he helped to lead the team to their first appearance in the National Tournament in over 15 years and was the conference Freshman of the Year and a 2-time Conference 1st Team Player. He was also an All-American Honorable Mention his sophomore season. After two seasons at Ohio Dominican, Coach Wilson transferred to Georgetown College where he was a member of teams that won 2 Regular Season Championships and went to 2 NAIA Final Fours.

At this time, Coach Wilson holds a Bachelors degree in Elementary Education from Georgetown and is currently earning his masters in Special Education (LBD) from Georgetown College. Wilson is married to Jennifer Wilson (Williams) of Georgetown, KY. They recently added a new member to the family with the addition of their daughter, Mackenzie Grace Wilson.
