Scott Hundley

Scott HundleyCoach Hundley enters his third season as the MCHS junior varsity basketball coach. He was a member of the Scott County coaching staff for 3 seasons. Former players include Jared Carter, University of Kentucky, Jimmy Warren, Union College, and Matt Walls of Marshall University. During the 2006-2007 season the Cardinals of Scott County knocked off the nations #1 team, did not lose to a Kentucky team, finished the season 34-2, and won Kentucky's state championship.

Coach Hundley brings a considerable amount of playing experience to the Montgomery County team. He attended Scott County High School in Georgetown where he was a member of the 1999 Cardinals that finished 34-2, nationally ranked as high as #4, and finished runner-up in the state. Coach Hundley's senior year he received Mr. Basketball honors for the state of Kentucky along with the Herald Leader and Courier Journal first team all-state honors and consensus player of the year.

After high school Coach Hundley attended Vanderbilt University on a full basketball scholarship. While at Vandy he received 6th man of the year honors in the Southeastern Conference. He was also a captain of the team that advanced to the NCAA sweet 16 (only the 2nd time in school history) only to lose to eventual champion, University of Connecticut. Coach Hundley currently holds a bachelors degree in communications and a Masters degree in Special Education from Georgetown College.
