Billy Ray Fawns

Coach Fawns returns to the Indians as a Varsity assistant coach after leading them to their first-ever appearance in the Kentucky Boys State Basketball Tournament in 1995. He currently holds school records for career scoring and rebounding at MCHS.

Coach Fawns finished his high school career being named 10th Region Player of the Year and first team All-State. He is a member of the 10th Region Hall of Fame. Coach Fawns continued playing basketball at Georgetown College, where he was part of the 1998 NAIA National Championship team. He played under Coach Griesser throughout his college career. Coach Fawns was born and raised in Mt. Sterling.

He continues to reside in Montgomery County with his wife, Micah (Robinson) Fawns. They have two children: Luke and Erin Grace. He holds a Bachelors degree in Communications/Business Administration, and is currently the General Manager for Judy Water Association.
